Indash DVD Monitor Mounting location

Anyone have pics of their Flipout Indash DVD mounted with the empty pocket on top, instead of underneath the unit, so when the unit is open, it doesn't stick so far above the dash.

I don't know if I want the unit sticking so high up for everyone outside the truck to see.

What's your thoughts?

I mounted mine high, to put it more in my field of vision and less of a reach to the touch screen.

When you park the vehicle, mine automatically closes so that no one will see it.

If you you mount it low you will not be able to access the pocket whenever the screen is open.

Either way, I am sure you will love it. My XM traffic box is due in next week, I can't wait

I will post a review as soon as I hook it up and play with it for a while. Should be no later than the end of the month.

I mounted mine on the bottom with the pocket above it. But decided I wanted a center channel speaker for the 5.1 surround. So I put it on top and the speaker on the bottom. I love it that way! Not a problem sticking up an inch and half higher!

Hey TheWB

What Center Speaker did you go with? I'm wanting to do the same, but haven't seen many except for the Clarion and Pioneer.

I went with the Clarion. I liked the looks of it, and Clarion is a good name.

could any of you guys post pics and what brand/model you went with?
I want to put a flip out in the dash and also have it line out to two lcd screens in the headrests for the kids in the back.
Any suggestions?
