Yes, I did get my grill painted gloss black at a body shop. I really liked the way it turned out. I would imagine yours should be the same as mine if you get it painted gloss as well.

I was looking at your fx2 grille. Is it painted gloss black? I have an fx2 and someone offered to spray it gloss black for free. I love the way yours looks and just wanted to get an idea if mine will be shinier or about the same as yours.

I have no inserts behind my grille. It's all stock. Maybe the paint that I used? Don't know what to say? Mine is not very noticeable at all. I'm not sure if they changed the style or not. I got my grill back in '07. I can't imagine they changed it to much. Anyway, good luck!

Hey, I also have the fx2 sport grille; did you get an insert to go behind yours? What I am finding is on sunny days you can see right through the gaps in the grille and see the radiator and mounts....makes it look bad. Does not seem to be as noticeable in your pictures.
