    Phil,

I sent you buddy an email about my truck to see if he could possibly hook me up with a tune. I want to add some extra power and I think nitrous would definitely give me the best bang for my buck. I have a DSS pro mod motor in my truck and I think it is a decent motor. It has forged internals and should be able to handle a shot of nitrous. I was thinking about adding a larger crankshaft pulley but I can buy nitrous for not that much more money and get a ton more on the performance side. I have the 4.6 litre with the M90 Eaton supercharger and I have a guy here in Tulsa, Oklahoma that can't tune for crap. I'm always getting a lean code and a couple of other codes when I run his tunes. I can say that Troyers tunes have never given me any trouble at all. I just don't trust the guy that is local. I have lost a motor before and I totally refuse to run my truck lean or even take the chance. Motors are too darn expensive to be messing around with.

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Phil,

I talked to Mike Troyer and he isn't too much on running nitrous. Do you get your tuning done by him or someone else? I know I can adujst the timing 4 degrees with my SCT tuner but I guess you still suggest I get a tune for nitrous. Mike told me the tune that I have it very safe tune but he didn't seem too excited about me putting nitrous on my truck. Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Brian

My 1999 Ford F150 is beginning to have an intermittent problem with the PATS transceiver. It left me stranded at the movies last night. It would not start with either key. "Theft" light would NOT go out after 3 seconds in RUN position. This morning I went to it to do more troubleshooting and arrange towing if necessary. The "Theft" light did go out after 3 seconds and it started right up. True for both keys. Puzzling. I do not want to pay for a new PATS transceiver or PCM or whatever. If possible to "disable" PATS, I would prefer that. In a Jan 29, 2010 response you stated "If you have a hand held tuner for your truck,,I know a guy that can email you a tune that will disable the PATS altogether". Can you please email this program update to me.
    My email is rdc561@bellsouth.net.
    Thanks
    Rick

Im sellin it cuz I need some money. Im thinkin about gettin a bike or cheap civic so i dont have to fill up everyweek as it is. once I get something and start saving ill jump back on it ASAP! since I wanna do everything, pistons, rods, cams. then i wont have to touch it cuz it will all be done.
