Hey Zabeard, I had spoke with you a few months ago about the lift on your 2005. I am just now close to getting it for mine and was wondering what size are the rims you are running and what kind of backspacing. Also what is the tire you have and size. I know you said you didnt have any rubbing issues and thats what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks, Mark

It drove great since the entire stock geometry was still in place. In fact, I thought it felt better resting on the larger meats. But yeah, it was only a 2.5-inch lift but looked bigger.

Thanks for the photo comment! I had a 2.5-inch Daystar front leveling system on my F250.

No comparison to the 6.0 IMO, it sounds more like a jet. I have the flo-pro 5". I think I have a video around.

I'm not sure its hard to explain but the 6.0 has more of a whistle and the 6.4 sounds more like a jet, it just sounds like its moving a ton of air compared to the 6.0.

Also they say radiator, but I dont think that is main cause. Its the goofy EGR coolers cracking or causing the coolant to flash, which in turn cavitates the front timing cover and causes it to overheat. Ford replaces the radiator because its a quick easy fix and seems to cover up the issue for a while. Personally if you get a truck the first thing you should do is buy a tuner and the elite diesel EGR delete kit. Worth every penny, had i done that from the get go I would be perfectly fine.

I've been on that site and powerstorke.org reading up a little at a time. The radiator seems to be the biggest issue for job 1's. For the warranty, if I do the dpf and spartan I would do like a few guys do and put the truck back to stock before bringing it to the dealer. There aren't any 6.4's around here with the Spartan and dpf. How foes it sound compared to the 6.0's?

Did you get a job 1 that you're having so many isses? I want to find something with nder 40k miles and get the extended warranty.

I see that you traded in your f-150 for the 6.4l f-250. Do you feel it was a good trade? I have a guy looking into buying mine. If he gives me the right price for it then i'll sell it to get a 250. I been looking at the new 6.7, but there almost 60k. I'm considering looking for an 08 6.4l with under 50k miles for around $35k. Exactly how bad is the fuel millage? I mean i'd be saving $25k. It will take me a long time to spend that in fuel difference.

Hey zabeard, I am looking to put the Rancho 4" kit on my 06screw 4x4 and was wondering if you had to do any cutting of the inner fenders with those 35's. Thanks for any info.
