Ouch is right. On the other hand $25.75 per year for registration isn't bad at all. I paid $116 for four year tags. We do what we must do...

Where do you live now? What's the tax rate? (I have none, nadda, zip.) I don't have to deal with any automotive inspection in Oregon and until this year, 2009, trucks in this state had little in the way of restrictive pollution controls installed by the factory. I have noticed that all of the Ford trucks for 2009 have the California controls installed on them, to bad

SALES TAX?? WHAT'S THAT?? I remember, that's when other states rip off the consumer. I glad I live in Oregon where what you see is what you pay. Later...

In response to your thread about the possibility of installing flares on your rig, I have some info. Bushwacker Pocket Flares are great. They will give you 2 1/2 inches of extra coverage per side and they are not to difficult to install. With this type of extension and your step bars your truck will stay a lot cleaner. I live in the Oregon Cascades with rain, snow, and road kill, with these fender flares the change is remarkable. I don't even need mud flaps. If you go with the black color instead of the color option you will save about $200, this a personal decision. My truck is bright red and the black looks great. The set of pictures show the flares with 34/11.50R17s, (34"). They fill the wheel wells without any rubbing. My tires are Toyo MT Open Country. My Wheels have 4.5 inch back spacing which gives more upper control arm clearance, plus they will give the truck a wider stance. Take a look.

My truck does have a two inch leveling kit installed. The bottom line, it is still up to you. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have...
