Here's a question for you...

How do you think the "Woods" would do with a KennyBell blower slapped on top?

I told my hubby he could get one for the Lightning when I get one for my Wood (when I finally do get one). :D

I think it would give it some much needed extra power good luck on getting one.

For the moment I can't find the article, but in one of the sport truck magazines was an article about a Paxton/Novi supercharged Blackwood. The cost was about $6K but that may have included the wheel/tire setup and some other mods. Unfortunately as I recall it was not all that fast but certainly better than stock. When I find the article I will post the numbers.

I saw that article too. I think it was Truckin, Oct. issue.

Yes, I think you are right. I will find it sometime today.
As to getting a Blackwood, I am sure you are following all these posts, but if not, it is a pretty good time to deal. I have seen ads offering as much as $17,000 off which is really quite a bargain. And, you would love the truck I'm sure.

Yeah I've been trying to follow here, living vicariously through you guys. :D The only prob I have is that I just leased the Gator in March. We're gonna talk w/our salesman when it goes in for the first oil change in the next month. I want to see if there is a possibility of them taking back the Gator (by me out of the lease) then I'll buy a Wood (they have had 2 on the lot since I got the Gator). I figure they could probably sell the Gator easier so they may go for it. Doesn't hurt to ask does it. ;)

Ready:

Gators are hot, Woods are not;)

You could be in a very good trading position I would think and it sure don't hurt to ask.

Ready:

Found the article:

Paxton/Novi 2000 blower.
347.5 rear wheel horsepower which sounds a little low to me. It should add 100 at the flywheel which I thought would equal about 360 at the wheels. Oh well.
0/60 was 8.38/6.34, 1/4 mile was 16.30/14.74 and they were running 305/40r23 tires on 23" rims which maybe didn't help too much.

I e-mailed their web info site this morning and am waiting for a reply as to details. It is specced as the same blower they use for the Gators.

Truck Trend quoted the cost at $8,000 but due to several other numerical errors in the article I wouldn't trust that. They gave the list price as $41,935 and the weight as 8,000 lbs. I have not priced blowers for a while, but on their (Paxton's) web site they have their own press release and it mentioned not only the wheel/tire combo but also a new exhaust and some stereo and tailgate party upgrades. If it is closer to $3k plus install, I might have to buy a bigger piggy bank.
Bill Oh yeah, the site is www.paxtonauto.com
