Is there anything unique or distinct about a Blackwood frame ? Is it the same as a 2002 F 150 short bed ? I need the best possible frame to accept a Blackwood bed assembly.Any info is appreciated.

 

I believe that the rear air suspension would be the biggest difference between the F-150 and the Blackwood. I'm going through this right now with mine. Some turkey rear ended me us on the highway and if the frame can't be straightened then I'll be looking fro another frame.

 

I believe the back "half" is different, but never looked at them side by side

Fiberglass leaf springs, traction bars, optional rear air leveling are all unique to the BW
