Yea, I guess you are right. I actually looked at the date without noticing the year. I thought it was just a month old until I went back a few minutes ago and saw the year. It is old and probably off topic here on this forum but I will not pass on an opinion on what to do with it since I am not the forum police.

I would like to say that there seems to be a bond amoung Lightning owners on here. In some cases they know each other on a personal level and often see each other at events. I would like to think that its more of a nation wide community and even a few accross the water. I have seen a few personal post, considered by some to be off topic, but just thought it was part of the community and less about the forum. We dont see much of it so it doesnt bother me as much I guess.

You are a big part of this forum. You have an awesome website that I have directed several new comers to. I think you have contributed a great deal of information to the L community, thanks. While I agree that it is old and probably shouldnt have been revisited, I dont mind hearing about personal events by the Lightning forum regulars....Again, thats just my opinion.

Rotor, FYI, my post was not specifically directed at you.

But I will respond -- mostly out of respect. That was about the most well-crafted and diplomatic rebuttal that I've seen in some time. Your cunning use of flattery and the so-subtle-I-could-barely-see-it "forum police" jab were masterful.

Heck, you almost changed my mind. Almost.

If the people on these boards bothered to compose posts like yours, I'd read just about anything.

Tim, I am glad you take things lightly. The problem here is that it is difficult to detect the tone that someone may be using. Occasionally I will use the icons to get that accross, limited to 4....sometimes thats hard.

I probably wouldnt have posted if I would have noticed the year initially.:o

The "forum police" wasnt really a jab, I thought you might just get a little chuckle out of it. Heck, someone has to help keep order. I am probably guilty of typing more on impulse than rational thought.

As far as the diplomatic rebuttal goes, I am married and often find myself in front of the judge . Most of the time it is to explain the new part or mod that just came in the mail for my truck.....

enjoyed it, see you around....

Ya my uncle was killed by a drunk driver in early 2001 driving to work by some college party girl drunk driving at 7am in the morning! 7am! She lived, my uncle died. Why the hell does someone need to be drunk at that age at freakin' 7 in the morning!?!?! Sheesh...
