ya, usually the F-body guys are pretty sharp and show us respect, and will call BS on a guy like that. nothing like the R/T people on the NLOC board

 

My 97 was lightly modded. My wife smoked me in her bone stock 01 Cobra. I have no idea exact times, but I think low 14's at best, with a great driver w his lack of mods. I was running .9 sec faster than an SS last time out. Both stock, but he was a horrible driver.

 

20 bucks says he's 15 and the closest he's gotten to a performance vehicle is through motortrend

 

I dunno what he drives... I didn't care enough to look too far into it. I do know that my stock 2000 Z28 felt quicker than the "L"... I've never taken either to the track, but that Z was a monster. I don't think I'd ever put up money against even a stock F-Body, unless I had something special under the hood.
Say what you want about chevys... those things are beasts. It took a supercharger for a mustang to finally beat them, and even then not by much. Don't be too confident.

 

I'm gonna look for the thread on Stang.net and see if I can find the thread with the 03 Cobras running 10s with bolt ons.

This statement is not helping our cause any. Let's try to be the bigger men here. Just my opinion.

Quite a few of my friends drive LS1's and most of the guys are cool just like us. There are some H/C LS1's out there that are nasty and pull hard. However, I too would drive my L over any F-body, but again, it's just my personal opinion.

 

dont get me wrong Red02SVTL, i completely agree with you. i would love to have a 99 hugger orange camaro SS convert. all i am saying is that everyone has a Z28 or a TA or a stang, they are a lot more common than our Ls.
and as for our cause, I think our trucks' performance speaks for itself
