Unhappy Another Expy console thread!

So, I have my seats on order. Nice, no-name, adjustable-back racing seats. They're REALLY inexpensive, (I'll tell you later!), but are REALLY comfortable. If you want to compare comfort (but definitely not quality!), think Momo. How much? $450 for a pair. (yes, a PAIR.)

I know, I know - they're crappy. But, like I said, I've been in them - rode in one all the way to Florida, and wasn't annoyed with it. If the stitching, etc, fails, I'll get them reupholstered. Who cares for $225 a seat, right?

So, anyway, of course, I'll be slapping in the Expy console, like everyone else is doing, because someone told me it's what all of the 'cool' Lightning owners are doing.

Now, finally, after that novel about my seats, here is my question/dilemma:
I can't find a used '00+ console in gray. I don't have much money to buy one, so new, (unless it's under $150 or so...), isn't an option.
Any ideas? Anyone have a contact, etc?

And, Vinnie, my bro-in-law Vinny works for a Ford dealership, so I could probably get the parts at whatever price you paid for them, or I would hope. If you wouldn't mind, can you email me at hbtiv@optonline.net with how much you paid? That way I'll know if it's even worth it to write down the 40 million part numbers.

THANKS!

It is still not worth it.About $400 new for ford. That is WAY below cost. That is what I paid.
Retail was $959 with the seat brackets and $800 without the brackets.
So keep looking.

Yeah, that's alot of coin! Screw that, I'd make one before I'd pay that much...

Oh well, I'll just dig for a used one. Heck, maybe even paint up a tan one....
