A/F's----survey

With all the talk about air fuel ratios I thought it would be interesting to see how many guys/girls that have put chips in there vehicles had them dyno tested or wideband for A'F's.. Just a yes or no will do...

LIGHTNINROD Nov 5, 2002 10:28 AM

Yes--11.2.

Not everybody can get their A/F's checked. That is why we tell the tuner our mods and TRUST them...

No...:o

Hmmmmm......

I will say my 2 cents on this, hehe. Any of you guys who actually do the pulley, chip, filter, etc. and don't go to a dyno to check the tune/AF ratio are playing russian roulette with your truck! I know there are some good tuners here but you can only do so much via mail order and there are MANY variables with any one persons truck. yes, its kind of expensive and yes its kind of a pain but it should be done or all you are doing is guessing...period. the dyno is an EXCELLENT tuning aid. And make sure you find one that uses a wide band O2 set up and not the sensor up the tail pipe. They are not as accurate and tend to read leaner than an O2 set up.

yes...too rich

Sent back for a more aggressive burn, going back to the dyno to see how it does :)

Yes

The inside of my bassani tips are very sooty black. Is this an indicator of too rich of a tune? If so..I'll probobly send it back for a more aggressive tune.

NeedFourSpeed Nov 5, 2002 11:56 AM

YES!
