I BROKE 12'S last night and won 2nd place!

last night at e-town in the rice vs. US muscle showdown i won second place in my class (13.0 - 14.49 seconds). when there were only 4 cars/trucks left i had to race my truck's twin! ANOTHER 02 true blue L! we had the EXACT same dial in time (13.00) and made an identical run. i was trying my best to break 12's so i kept it to the floor. he feared breaking out so he tapped the brakes and i went flying by. i won that one.

i lost in the finals because I BROKE INTO THE 12'S! mods are the following: (on f1's and a removed hitch)

JDM chip (hot/cold)
JDM filter
JDM boost bypass kit
JDM deep sump trans pan & filter
JDM line mod valve

here was my final and BEST run thus far:

r/t = .690 (reason why i lost)
60' = 1.939
330 = 5.454
1/8 = 8.342
mph = 85.15
1000 = 10.849
1/4 = 12.977 (stock i did a 13.446 @ 102.73)
mph = 105.88

so i went home with $250 and a nice size trophy. i was happy to break 12's but i woulda loved $500. no complaints though. I LOVE THIS TRUCK. THANKS JDM FOR HOOKIN MY TRUCK UP.

I'll have that trophy print ready in about a week. I'm still using my old SLR. My digital is still out of action.

I probably could have lasted another few rounds. The L was running on the dial in's and my rt's were good. I got eliminated even tho I cut a .506 light. Too bad I kinda ran out of gas on that run.

The L hesitated right near the 1-2 shift. It was like as if I lifted off the gas and then got on it agian.

Congrats on the $ and trophy! I'd also like to say thanks for following me to the gas station. I was sweating bullets all the way there. I refueled with 24.756 gallons. If I"m not mistaken, the L's gas tank holds 25 gallons right?

Might be a good idea for me to change that fuel filter now.

See you guys at the next event!

-Andy

Andy,
I watched that run.It looked like you had the guy and then at 1/2 track(that were we were sitting) I was like"what happened?" The truck look like you let off.Now it all makes sense.

Congrats on the 12's.....No unleaded race gas. I had to run on street side. Went 12.71 falling on it's face after the 60'(low gas). I think it coulda gone a high 12.5X maybe if it pulled all the way. Made it to round 2 lost by .027. Hit the brakes just too much. Oh well I had a good time. Would of gone super fast with gas on side too. Maybe next weekend. -Mat-

I just hope there was no long term damage done on that run. After the refuel, the azz o meter said everything was fine.
