I was wondering....does anyone have any different tactics on launching these L's at the track?

Running these mods
JL Diablo Chip, 3 # Pulley, Ram Air Kit, Bassani Cat-back, Denso Plugs... and my last outing....with this was a 13.3 @ 106.7 MPH... it's the first 60 feet that are killing me I know, launching with the power now takes a little more skill. With the same setup minus the Pulley and exhaust I was running 13.03 @ 103 MPH. So I know I have the power, I just need to get the launch and first 60ft down. I'm thinking of lowering the truck 1/2" and dropping some money for some Nitto 555R Drag Radials on the rear. Any tips on the launch though? Mashing it doesn't work....that I know

you can try holding your rpms at anywhere from 1000 to 1500 and feather the first 60'. personally i would practice feathering the gas as to not break out before holding the rpms at a certain level since that's only going to be more difficult (for me at least)

but on stock f1s i dont think i've ever seen *that* good of a 60' time..maybe low 1.8x? could be wrong though

Just wondering because my 60ft times with the pulley are like 2.2's..seems a bit off to me. Either I need to get used to the launching with the pulley or track conditions just plain sucked.

I wish I could get a 1.8 on my F1s.

Ok you know what, I have seen people say that. So I took my truck out last saturday to MIR and tried it for the first time, and it resulted in me sitting there burning up the tires and not moving

Oh but I was on F1's so maybe that requires slicks ...

Got my best 60ft (bone stock) by launching at 1100-1200 rpms and rather quickly rolling into the throttle once the front end came up. (rear tires at 28psi) Looks like I only spun for about 3-5 ft and it was barely audible.

My best 60' so far is a 1.935 on F1's truck bone stock.
I held the rpms at 1000 and slowly krept up to 1200ish as the lights came down and nailed it to the floor as I realesed the brake. I was trying 22psi in the F1's but I think I'm going back to 25psi next time out.

Hey NW, didn't you get some wheel spin matting the pedal like that? I tried that once and spun all the way into 2nd gear before I had time to react.
