Big scratch!

Went to have some Chinese buffet today. I always park where I am least likely to be hit or damaged in any way. Well, one of the cute little asian girls comes over to my table and informs me that my truck had been hit. (I didn't know they knew what I drove. I guess I eat there too much.)

I go out to the parking lot, with the cutey following. There is a an older lady, very large and dressed for church with her grand daughter; and, she is just bawling. I'm talking crocodile tears here. The only damage was a fairly large scratch on the rear bumber. I was pissed, but not nearly as tore up about it as she was. I thanked her for not just leaving and decided to swallow the repair bill myself. I've been considering a roll pan anyway. I just didn't have the heart to be a **** about it. The look of relief and gratitude on her face is worth the loss to me anyway. I guess I'm getting soft in my old age. Today is my 36th B-Day.

Somebody was paying attention. I did get some points; but, that wouldn't have changed anything. She was just pityful.

That's proof that the nicest people on earth live in NC. Good job, could it have anything to do with the fortune cookie?

edit: Silly me meant to say happy birthday too but got wrapped up in posting the pic and forgot. Happy Birthday!!
