Do MAS's malfunction? WHat is the cost for just the MAS unit wihout the boot?
 

I think that my pinging might be related to a bad MAS. When I switched the MAS to the upper position the SES kept coming on. I finally got it to a position were the SES will not come on anymore. Some of you guys told me that it shouldn't matter were the MAS is positioned, the light should not come on. I thin what happened is about 7000 miles ago I cleaned my S&B filter, and I reoiled it too much. The other day I took the rubber boot out that connects to the TB and there was oil in it. Could the MAS go bad and not trigger the SES for a while? I think all the oil that I had put on the filter went through the MAS. ANyone ever have this problem?
