Wet Okole's arrive tommorow... Any suggestions?

My Wet Okole's should arrive tomorrow.

Is there anything special I need to do before I install them?
Like let them air out or something? Any prep to the seats?

(YES, I have done a search but the only thing I have found thus far is that most people think they are a b!tch to install)

Thanks,

Take your time and I hope you have small hands and a strong back for the contortions to reach the tie down straps. I did it in about an hour.

Yeah get your friend with little hands to attach them for you under the seat :p. Other then that have fun stretching them over the seats HEHE. I love mine and they really save the seats :D.

I would think setting the seats in the sun for a while would stretch better. What does everyone else think?

I put mine in in about an hour, but I took both my seats out and did it on the garage floor. Its a little work but it will save headaches and frustration. you will be happier in the long run. just have someone help with the passenger seat. I did it by myself but I could have easily scratched the truck.

I personally left mine out on my deck for a week to try to air them out. Boy do they stink when new. I hope you have small hands, but if not , just buy alot of bandaids. Do the seatbacks first then drink a few brews, ice tea, water or whatever. Just take time to chill, then tackle the seat bottoms.....Have fun:D

Doh!!!

Little hands is something I don't have. I'm 6'8" tall.
My wife is short though, so maybe I can talk her into helping me.

I assume that small hands are required for under the seats? How do the covers attach? Do they tie on, straps, another method?

where do you buy these type of seat covers? Does the company have a web site?

Wash them first! They will smell bad for a long time. Mine still smell when they get hot. Wash them with woolite or something before you put them on. I ordered the shampoo and 'deodorizer' from their website, should be here soon and maybe that smell will be gone

It's not that bad. A lot easier than changing the plugs.;) A few scratches never killed anyone.:D

Mine went on OK...

It took about an hour I guess on the 01L, about 45 minutes on the 02L. They do have a very strong smell the first several days. My L stays in a garage so I simply left the windows down for a couple of weeks & all was well.

Buy her some roses:p There are straps with buckles that go under the seats to hold them in place. You'll see;)

does anyone with a white L with the red wetokole seats have pics? i think the red and black would go good with the white.

install was not THAT bad, it took me probly 45 minutes from the time they were at my door, to get on the seats. Obviously I did not waste ANY time :)
