OK guys I need help! I just bought an 02' L and have put in a Superchip and a K&N filter. Today was my first day trying the G-Tech. It was 80 degrees out. My best 60 was 5.75 and my qtr was 14.33. It should be way faster than this. What am I doing wrong? Are you guys starting from a dead stop?

My truck only has 800 miles on it. Does it get faster after it's broken in?

Yes it does get faster as time goes on. Also, I talked to someone yesterday on here running 14.1 at the track on a L. I thought that was slow too, but anytime you can be within a few 100th's of a sec from the posted 1/4 mile time, your not doing bad. HOWEVER you have a differant case. You should have picked up a good 30-40 HP and equal torque with a good chip program and filter. Don't matter much about the Chip, it's all about WHO TUNED IT and with WHAT PROGRAM. If it's an off the shelf program it aint worth Schit for performance IN MY OPINION. Some L will run 13.6 all day 100% stock and I've seen other with a Mod List a mile long that haven't broke into the 12's. Go Figure ???? Pull the chip out and see if you go faster, you got nothing to loose. then talk to who ever did the program, your entitled to a free re-burn.

I ran 5.4 sec with a canopy, full tank and all the extras. I have a chip, K/N and a factory tech valve body only.

Rob_02Lightning.................. you were right. This chip is bad. I ran a 5.70 60mph without it. I'm pissed. I can't be too mad though, this was the chip I had for my other 5.4 F150. They did a reburn on it so that it would work with my L for $9.00. It worked, but didn't help performance. I guess I will have to fork out the money. Thanks!
