I turned off my torque converter lockup, how do I turn it back on?

You know, when I was growing up I always had that one friend who would argue with me 'you can't jump from old man clammets barn and be okay' Well... I was jumping then thinking maybe I should have worried more about landing than trying to see how far out I could jump..... (no, I grew up in the city and never knew the clammets or any other people related to them)

But I did turn off my torque converter lockup. it honked once and now when I did it again, it honked once again. Does it re-lock (or at least be able to) when I start the engine again???? If not how do I get it back on?

If you are wondering how to turn it off, I'll tell you when I learn how to turn it back on... that way your not in my boat too.

I'm with you Gator, that was a nice laugh before work.
But if there is a way to turn it off and on with a simple code, simular to the auto door lock trick, I'd Love To know it.
IS THERE ???

Wink

I think you turn it back on by reversing the 'quiet' seatbelt alarm procedure found in your Operator's Manual. I t probably will take you several readings(rereadings) because it apparently was written by former Macintosh code designers.

You have to use the remote to disable the fuel pump, disable the waterpump, and then you can enable the convertor again. It has to be in that order.

How could the computer control the water pump? I would think the only way to disable it would be to remove the drive belt as there is not an electrical connection.

Oh sure it can, it just uses the fietser valve located next to the foofram shaft to control it.
