What will Ford release

At the dealer this morning as was told by the manager that Ford reps were there doing whatever they do. They said that Ford is considering not releasing certain new cars and trucks until the economy improves. Also said the crazy financing will continue int 03' model years. Ford is going to lower the content of stock equipment. Make us pay for air, power lock/windows, and abs. Stuff that would have come standard we now will pay premium for. The upcharge along with not releasing new models will be the only way that Ford and other automakers will make any profits.

They charge us now for all these items. All they have to do is up the price some more instead of going that stupid route. I, for one, do not want to see more and more cars going back w/ manual windows and non-a/c. That's just plain retarded to throw us back to the 80's.

I may be in the minority with my thinking (only the posts will show it or not), but since I already bought my L, what Ford does now doesn't affect to me.

And in my case whenever Ford releases a new L, mine will be built up to be faster, etc. etc.

Doubt if Ford will do anything like that on SVT

vehicles, probably not on their upper trim levels either. Much more efficient in production lines to install basically same equipment, rather than pull vehicles out of the line. Vastly increased costs of maintaining inventory with different equipment levels(items not easily installed by dealer)more than eliminates any savings to ford. Uping content and charging higher prices and simplified inventory was discovered years ago. Why do you think we only have 1 interior and limited colors for instance?

Pay for air??? PDL???

Hahahaha!!!

No way. It'd cost them far too much to REdesign much of their lineup to exist without these...

That's not truth your getting. Company's don't cut the fat from someplace as obvious (and to them, expensive).
