High current alternator?

I notice my interior lights dimming when my electric fan kicks on. Since I've got a reasonably new Optima yellow top, I'm figuring I need to upgrade my alternator (electric fan, electric water pump soon, HID head/fogs).

Does anyone make a higher current unit for us(>120)?

Stinger make an alternator that puts out over 120 amps.

I just installed my sylvania bulbs and i notice that at idle they dim ever so slightly but when i speed up the engine a little bit they get brighter, now i know headlights and fog lights draw quite a few amps but its not supposed to do this is it? BTW i have no other anything done to the truck, so the power isnt going anywhere else.

I know this guy is popular with the Mustang owners, but haven't heard anyone here installing one in their truck yet. 200 amp alt. for $235.00 sounds like a killer deal.

Couldn't resist I just ordered the 180 Amp and will post the results once it's installed.

I saw it but I don't own an L. I figured the 180 is going to be plenty to help out for my electric fan and under drive pulleys.

stock

Our stock alternator is 120A, so the 200 sounds like a good upgrade (30 for the fan, 30 for the water pump, = 180 required for same headroom as stock)

update...

The electric water pump only draws about 6-7 amps, sowe shouldn't need a lot more power, but the 200A will be nice.
