Well, let me explain how they should be set up on the truck first, to make sure you've got them on right..

Obviously the rear mounts go on the axle, with the rear of the bars (with no adjusting nut) attaching to bottom holes. On the front, the plates pivot on the new spring eye bushing. The holes for the front of the bar go under the spring, and the hole for the cross bolt goes over the spring.

I suggest using the lower set of front holes, and the front of the bar with the adjustment nut goes to it and should be very easy to access. The cross bolt on top should NOT be tight. With the bar disconnected, you should be able to pivot the front plate assy by hand.

You'll have to see what kind of adjustment the truck works best at. Some people adjust the bar so that the cross bolt JUST touches, some preload it, and some put it about 1/4" over the spring. One thing I suggest, is that when you make adjustments, try to have someone of silimar weight sitting in the drivers seat.

Hope this helps.

Hey Sal could you post some pics of the set up. You say there is a lower set of holes but the front braket only has three holes One hole for the springs, one for the cross bolt that goes over the springs and one for the cross bolt. I dont see a lower hole and the instructions are not all that informative.
Thanks.

Here are a few pics of what mine looked like on my truck. Remember I had the 3/4 Bell Tech kit so the bar is higher up than what yours may be...

BTW...

I got my best 60 foot with them having set with ALITTLE gap. I never thought about having someone siting in the driver seat, so I guess I will try that next time as well!!!
