Break-In Process

When you guys first bought your Lightning, Did you guys follow the recommended break in process of your vehicle? Does it matter, I would not think so, since these trucks were built to burn some rubber. Thanks for your opinion!

I drove mine from day 1 the same way I've driven it every day since. Sometimes I'm hard on it, sometimes I'm not.

Drive it at varying throttle settings, and give the parts time to seat. Or not ... Your truck, your future ... I took it pretty light for 1000 miles then whupped it ....

I did alot of highway driving right off the bat. Have no problems to think of. The only real driving problem i heard of as to weakness seems to br the trans. The L trans hates burnouts and slamming the gas when going around 60mph. There is alot of unnecessary strain on the drivetrain when this is done. From a dead stop like on a drag strip the trans and motor will handle it easy. NOELVM on one site has an incredible amount of 1/4 passes on his truck. Learn the way your truck acts and what it likes. Pay attention to the way it sounds and drives. This is important because if you mod it you will be able to know and tell if it is acting strange. WATCH YOUR PLUGS!!!!
Have alot of fun!!
