I had my heads "cleaned up" and larger intake and exhaust valves installed. I haven't really noticed much of a difference because I increased the boost at the same time. I don't think there is much to gain by doing heads. I would do it if you are rebuilding the motor because you already have it apart. Otherwise, there are much more cost effective mods. I'm sure there will be head and cam packages available in the near future.

I had my heads gasket matched and ported. I also used the larger mod max/ferrera valves. I had several things added at once so I'm not sure how much I gained from this. I had mine done by www.mohrperformance.com

From the articles in some of the mags like MMFF the stock valves aren't that good (although I haven't heard of any breaking). The swirl polished, stainless ones (like the ones offered at modmax) are supposed to be more superior at least in durability. You could also have the heads extrude honed to clean up the ports and a multi-angle grind on the valves and seats. Nobody that has done this has reported any big gains though but if you are going to rebuild the top end anyways every little bit helps. Here's the link to modmax if you want to check out the valves. http://www.modmaxracing.com/
