High Speed Vibration

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have a problem with hard shaking at speeds above 55mph? Every time I get on the highway now the truck shakes Violently and the steering vibrates pretty bad. It seems to lessen when I accelerate but is still there. So I was just wondering what you guys may think is the problem? I just took to the dealer about a month ago for the clunk and they realigned it (which I really didn't feel I should have had to pay for at 13K) and the wheel still feels like it is pulling to the right. Anyways, just looking for some input before I go back to the dealer again! Thanks!

its either a wheel balance problem, something loose in the front-end, or driveshaft out of balance. id check the front tires also for cupping. ever do a tire rotation and balance? Mike

Could also be the exhaust system is in a bind. Some people have loosened the exhaust system, started the truck and ran the truck back and forth between drive and reverse. Then retighten. Sounds crazy but some people have fixed it themselves. There is a TSB for the "high speed vibration". Or you can always just buy a cat-back system and forget about it.

I went thru the same thing, looking for the vibration over 85. Rebalanced the wheels, even tried the "loosen the exhaust" procedure. Nothing helped. When I replaced the factory cat-back with the Bassani...........problem solved Hope your solution is an easy fix like mine. Good luck

I've already (pretty much) had the factory exhaust taken out, or atleast modified. I had some exhaust cutouts and a mag 12468 installed on the truck. I'm starting to wonder if it's just the alignment, because for some reason I just don't feel like they really even aligned it, but I guess there's no way to prove or not prove that they ever did...
