Quite easy installation, most of it is straight forward.

To make the bed removal part easier do this:

1. Remove 3 bolts on passenger side holding the bed down completely
2. Loosten the drivers side bolts by about ½" to ¾"
3. place a jack with a piece of wood under the passenger side and jack the bed up enough to get the top bolt in tightened down.

I was thinking of installing one of these on my truck in the future, and was wondering why the bed has to come off for instalation?.

Thanks.

It doesn't have to...unless you want to easily remove the rear driver's side shock absorber.
