Why don't they just tell you the truth ?

I am not going to say who but when you order something. If its going to be delayed than say it .Dont tell me its coming its 5 weeks later [still not here]Called twice during that time its coming well send it out tomorrow lies -lies- lies.Just tell me the truth i don't mind waiting if i know whats going on .I want to give the business to you so do the right thing just let me know if i iam going to wait.I am sick of waiting for my order to come because you said will send it out tomorrow. Its not right THANK YOU JIMMY:confused:

I ordered air filter kit its very sad that i am waiting this long.I guess they tell you the lies so you won't go to another Tuner.I guess i will wait one more week than totally cancel order. Its a shame i really wanted to buy from this Tuner heard nothing but good things about them. THANKS JIMMY :(

ICULOKN Jun 9, 2002 03:55 AM

I will say this for all the Tuners not just the ones I have used....

They are little companies and get backed up ALOT at times.....

SVT_KY Jun 9, 2002 08:22 AM

Just remember ... You're dealing witha CUSTOM shop....

There is a guy MAKING those air kits and they seem
to get VERY busy every once in a while and production
suffers. They prolly fully intended to ship that the next day,\
but something happened in the shop.

I know ... I was there ... I saw the problems of running
your own business and the demand on personnel and
personal time.....

IF you could get the air kit at Walmart, it wouldn't
be as good would it ?????

This ain't Burger King .... sometimes you CAN'T get it your way!

People should expect that when they order from any of the
tuners ... They have a life to !!!

StruckBy99 Jun 9, 2002 09:35 AM

I'm sick of all this B.S. about them being a "small company" and "they have lives too". SO WHAT!! That does not give them the right to tell someone that your getting your parts at this date, but when actually it isnt coming for weeks later!!!

I also think its B.S. that "without the tuners, you'd still be stock" SO WHAT!! There ARE tuners and there ARE competitors. This does not give anyone the right to LIE to a customer.

Being UPFRONT and HONEST will keep a customer coming back. If I have a bad experience, you lost my business. Its that simple.

As more and more alternatives come into play(more tuners), I think the lies will get bigger to keep you from going to another.
If a tuner treats you bad, no problem, there are others to buy from.

Jimmy, I would say cancel your order and find what your looking for somewhere else.

Jason

Jason giving 1 more week and than thats it.To everyone else out there i am sure me and others don't mind waiting but just tell us that. They told me on the phone sorry we will send it out tomorrow this has happened twice already in 5 weeks ,Don't say something if you can not back it up.thay should just say we are out of stock that simple. THANKS JIMMY :D

That's not the issue here. The dishonesty is. I've been treated poorly twice by the same company; and, I've read many posts here that reflect my experience with that tuner's business. Waiting for what I've ordered is not a problem. Waiting a month, for something that I've been promised was going to ship tomorrow, on multiple occasions for the same part, sucks. I don't need the stress. Not to mention being charged for the part a month before it is ready to be shipped. Finding out that the part you've been waiting a month for, is being sold at a racing event but is "still" unavailable for shipment to you, is a serious pain in the azz, also.

Everyone knows what tuner I'm talking about. There is only one that consistently behaves in this manner. For someone to defend this behavior in any way, is truly confusing to me. I hope you have just mistaken the issue here and are not engaging in azz kissing. Pretending a problem doesn't exist will not make it go away.

This post is not intended as a bash on any one member in particular. ICULOKN just happened to be the one to jump in first this time.

I am trying to be very nice about this BS ,The thing that has me pissed off the most is {will send it out tomorrow SORRY ].DON'T SAY SOMETHING TO ME TWICE AND DON'T MEAN IT. Also since i've been a member theirs been alot of members here [way to many ] that have the same problems as i .Would like to here some stories and how they went about it [please don't name the Tuners ] lets give them a little more time and hopefully they will here our voices .And start to clean there act's up. THANKS JIMMY

I agree but how is it that Mark at LFP and JJ's SVT seem to excel in customer service? They are even smaller but they go out of their way to keep us informed and promise what they can deliver. Not trying to knock anyone but rather give props to tuners that deserve it.

I just bought a used Lightning. I have been following the forums closely as to who I should follow regarding mods. I was leaning strongly to the tuner you guys were talking about here. But really only because they had one person with great customer service. Now that they have dumped that distributor and other such responses in some forums I have decided to follow other tuners that actually care about their customers.
In the end bad business moves and a total disrespect to customers are going to hurt anything that you are trying to achieve business wise.

Anyone recommend me to another tuner

Well it's your money so call the ones you considering, talk to them in person and decide from there.

Congrats on the truck!:) You should consider JJ. All my parts I've had in less than 3 days. Also heard nothing but good things from PSP. Like captainoblivious said, it is your money so its up to you.

NWUCIT Jun 9, 2002 01:17 PM

I agree with Jimmy, Jason, and Odin....I've had the same experience with an air kit from one of the tuners.....have had it on order for going on 12 weeks now....could NOT get them to respond to my attempted contacts (phone, e-mail, fax, everything but the pigeon)...then, finally, was told at 4 weeks it was going out in 3-4 days, nothing....then told at 6weeks it would ship in 2 weeks, nothing, was told at 10 weeks the parts were finally in(???) and was ready for shipment if I still wanted it!!!...said YES ship it, still nothing...I understand the dilemmas of a small business, BUT, the customer deserves some type of consideration.

I have faith in this tuner, have heard too many good things on here about him, and I still want his product, but the UNKNOWN and perceived lack of communication is not good for any business/customer relationship....it only leads the buyer to think twice before ordering again....and in my experience (20 yrs dealing with the public) repeat business is vital for survival.
