Let me be the first to say, YES fans on the intercooler work. I have a 2001 S-281 Saleen and the fans keep intake temps down so why not on my L. I first got the temp on the intercooler water and set up my test. The water was 170 or so after running for a period of time. I then installed my temp gauge for the intercooler. I called Saleen and they sent me two fans to install. After installation I've noticed the temps on a 100 degree day stay right at 130 degrees and that plumbed in the back of the intake. I dont know if it adds hp, but it cant hurt.

 

My friend has #72 a 2002 281sc and he has 2 fans on it and they run all the time and his runs just under 130 at the HIGHEST
