Dash light and tail light failure??
Dash light and tail light failure??
OK guys, I think I've seen this but couldn't find it with search...
Last night I lost my dash lights (gage cluster lights) and I think my tail lights too, cause I got flashed a couple times. I went to check the fuses this morning and every thing seems fine. So I check my lights, they work fine now. What's up with that??
I think my L just knew I was going to the bar and didn't want me to be driving her after a few beers

My odometer light used to go out sometimes (others it'd just be really dim). I took it in and they just replaced the whole dash (must be one big unit under everything). Yours sounds more like a short, though. It's a new one to me.

I had to have the instrument cluster replaced to fix the dash lights in my 99.
Two other guys I know here in Illinois had the same thing done on there L's. I thought it was only an Illinois desease.

Gage cluster going out
Whip,
My insturment panel went out about a month ago one night with out warning. It was really bizzare. Everything worked except for my cluster. I also checked the fuses and everything else short of yanking the dash. I finally took it to the dealer. They had to replace a circuit board behind the dash. It was under warranty thank god, because the board listed for $260 I think. I also had to get my keys reprogrammed to start the truck after this. So, what ever this board is, it controls alot of functions; not just the lights. Well, that is what happen to me and the that was my solution. E-mail me if you would like more details.
Later,
Chris
