Thumbs up Victor Ford

Took the truck in yesterday to find the mystery noise. Porblem just went away so I still have no idea what is was. Had them check for the recall issues and they took care of that. Also had them look at the seat as the fram is coming through and they ordered the parts for it. They have great service and their service manager Matt is really nice and was asking about my truck and the online forums for it. BTW it is in Wauconda for all you Il guys. They are having their annual SVT car show on Sunday July 14th.

Thumbs up No Doubt

Victor Ford is a bad *** dealer. They are on route 12 up in Wauconda. They pretty much pride themselves as being an aurhorized SVT Dealership.

Thumbs down You may have had good luck....

But I sure did not have much luck with Ol' Matt at Victor Ford. He made me drop my truck off and leave it for a day just to order the damn plugs that go in the back of the steering wheel. Would not order them for me any other way. Then to top it off they were not in stock. So when they came in he gave them to me and I installed them, they did not even offer to do it. Then to add insult to injury the parts they ordered were the wrong color and I was told paint to match!!!!!!!! I had just dropped 30k on a new truck and I get paint to match? FU Victor Ford.

They were not much help with the radiator issue either.

Then the 30k truck did not have the starter rely cover on it and I wanted one. As I waited for the parts department I asked a few of the techs if this part was still being installed from the factory or not. The answer was "Some do, Some don't" So for 30k I want the part. Parts desk can get it for me at a cost of 28 bucks. I then ask Ol' Matt about it. He gets pissed with me and my information and knows I'm right but says to me "I am not going to rebuild your truck for you, the way Ford sent it is the way you bought it" I ask "Should this part be in there?" "yes it should be" "Are you going to get it for me?" "no".

Needless to say I left the place and have not been back since. I wrote a letter with my issues to Jeff Victor and they never even responded. No can we help you in any way, no oil change freebies, nothing. AfterI spent 30k there. FU Victor Ford.

Just my deal with them, I'm glad they treated someone with respect. I sure did not get it.

I have lived in and around VH for the last 28 years. Currently I am over on the south side of town off of 83 and 45.

I can remember riding snowmobiles and running over the property that your building is on. Way back when I was a kid. It was owned by Continental Grain Company. They had all the property from woodbine circle to route 60. Huge place. Fun to mess around.

The bit*h of the deal with Victor was that it was the 4th purchase my family had made there in the last 6 months and not one of us has gone back since that happened.

All over a 8-10 dollar part (their cost) and a set of steering wheel plugs that should have been the correct color because the damn truck was there when they ordered that parts. Or just been in the truck when it was delivered. I shudder to think what they would do on an oil change or a repacement engine.

On the other side of the coin the sales department was great and even brought issue to the service department because of what happened. The salesman worked hard on selling the 30k truck and I wanted to build a good relationship with the service department because I am going to keep the truck a long time. Well not with them now. I've been going to Sessler in Libertyville. Good luck with them so far. They even washed my truck last time it was there for the windshield wiper recall. I got 2 after service calls from them to see if I liked my service and one survey via mail. They really went above and beyond.
