Angry Rough idle problem!

Just had a new passanger side head installed and new head gaskets at the dealer. Now my engine has a rough idle in park and while in gear at idle. While in gear you can hold the brake with your left foot and run the rpm's up to 1000-1500 and it holds a steady, smooth idle. Ive changed the plugs, but still no dice.
Anyone have any ideas on what to look for? All the tests the dealer ran turn out fine! But it use to idle so smooth!
Oh yeah, I took better pics of the L with our new digital camera and they're in the f150 gallery under "skank dog". I still havent figured out how to post them here yet!

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check all of your hoses and lines. If they are all good, it may be the intake gasket...

Hey skank dog:

I've had the same problem for a while now, and from what i've heard, so have others....

Its been in the dealer 3 times now and still no dice, they've replaced the IAC valve, and checked all diagnostics and its still there, exactly as you describe it I was going to have the plugs replaced with maybe the densos, but you say that didnt help either??

I don't know what the next step will be then...it seemed to go away or at least a little less noticable with the warm weather

Check the EGR vaccum tube. Mine had the same problem a few weeks ago, and it was a melted EGR tube.

Had problems with mine after head gasket replacement. The problem was the intake gasket. Tech said those were redesigned as well as the head gaskets.

Don's Bolt- Skank Mobile?!! LMAO!! Thats a good one!! Thank you VERY much for posting the pic!!!!

Shorty-I'll take some pics of our Expy and have them posted here! As far as mod's, it's a 00 EB Expy with 00 Lightning wheels,Michelin pilot LTX 295-55-18's, 01 Lightning headlamps and corners, superchip, and Gibson cat back. Also a few other nick nacks here and there.

BOSTONL- Did they replace your intake gasket again? Ive checked all vaccumn lines and everthing is ok there. Truck still runs like a scaulded ape, just has that rough idle that is bugging me to death!

Maybe the skankmobile is telling you it wants more toluene.
