spark plug/chip question help!!

I am about to install a 2# upper and a 2# lower pulley. I'm just wondering if I can run my NGKTR5's for a few weeks until I get my densos installed. They have been ordered and should be installed in about 3-4 weeks. What will the problem if any?? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Depending on how your chip is tuned, you might get a stumble at idle, a miss in the mid RPM's, or worse case detonation.

I wouldn't. Especially with your tranny on the way out. You'll blow it up for sure!! (The tranny that is!!)

Hey Tim...WHAT's new?? The new tranny goes in on monday (with the factory tech valve body). The chip will be tuned for having both pulleys (I was told that having both pullies would be safe as long as the lower wasn't a 4 or 6# with the 2# upper). What would happen if I left the chip out for the 3-4 weeks? Any ideas?? Would both pullies and no chip be o.k.? Worst case scenario is that I leave the chip and the pullies (or at least the lower) off until I get the better plugs. Let me know what you or anyone else thinks. Thanks a bunch!!!!

lihtning, buddy it ant going to hurt a thing to run the TR5's or to run without your chip for a few weeks. Your computer has no idea what pulley you have on the truck its all up to you to stay under about 9 pounds of boost. Just keep your foot out of it and you'll be fine. You can regulate the boost with your foot to keep it safe as though it still had the stock pulley installed. For the TR5's I am running them with a 6# pulley everyday so a few weeks ant going to hurt you. I have mine gapped down to .038 and have no problems with detonation at all.

I think that patience is the key. If you feel that the chip and pullies should only be run as a combo, I 'd wait and put it all in together.

I say why risk it for a a couple of weeks!!

Thanks everyone for the help. Eventhough I could keep my foot out of the gas, I'll probably just wait. Thanks again for the help!
