Eibach 1" Drop Springs
2" Belltech Shackles

I'm pretty certain the 1" Eibach Springs are more like 1-1.5" in drop. This particular spring is advertised as 2" drop for a regular cab F-150 and a 2.5" drop for a ext. cab F-150. I think with the heavier 5.4 motor the Lightning gets somewhere between 1-1.5".


What do you think?

Nope, no other pics of the drop yet. Just snapped that one quick. I'll take some more later.

 

Thanks for the pics. This helped me make up my mind as to installing the springs tomorrow, or meeting up with some other L owners. Did you do the install yourself? If so, do you remember what size sockets you had to use?

where did you get ur drop shackles and springs.

 

where did u buy the shocks and shackles:
price, part number...etc.

how hard were they to install:
tools, jack stands, air tools...etc.

There is now about 3.25" between my fender lip and the top of the tire. Many people have seen it and say it is def. more then 1"

Ok, I purchased my stuff in different stages.
First I bought the 2" drop shackles from StylinConcepts. ****** helped me install them (actually he did it), very simple, all you need is a jack. He lifted the truck just high enough to take compression off the springs useing a 2x4, trailer hitch, and jack. >30min

After seeing TampaSVT's, ******'s, and many more lowered L's in person I felt like I was driving a 4x4. It looks so much better lower. Not to mention I felt that the front end "floated" more with the rear sitting level.

I purchased the Eibach Springs from LFP. I know LFP does sell a few different 1/2 drop combos. His prices are fare, knowing the part numbers you might be able to surf around and find the stuff a little cheaper.

I had the rest of the stuff all installed by a mechanic along with new Edlebrock IAS shocks and Hotchkis Sway Bar Kit front / rear. Handles great now.

Onelfastlride - looks nice. Word of advice, as seen in that second pic - try not to pull up on any curb or wheel stops that close. Not all are that low and you will scrape. I did it once, luckily it wasn't bad at all. But watch out dude.

 

Looks great - alot better w/the slight rake. I've heard the eibachs drop L's more than an inch, from 3 different people, so I went for the Belltech's, which gave a 1" exact drop.

 

I"m going to be installing my Eibach's tomorrow. I'll post before/after measurements Monday. I won't mind if it's closer to 1.5". Right now, my front sits 3/8" higher than the back. That would give me a rake of just over an inch. I can handle that.

Well that is hard to answer exactly. I had the springs, shocks, and sways all done at once. I'll tell you this, the steering is more responsive, and it now corners with what I think is 0% body roll. The springs are progressive, so softer then stock to start and the more the push them the stiffer they get. Eibach's came on the 00' Cobra R if that means anything.

Is the drop more then the FRPP 1/2 ?

Well I don't exactly know, never seen the FRPP drop. I do know that the Eibach springs dropped the front more then 1". So my guess yes it is lower. The scientific measure meant......... I can barely squeeze 4 fingers width wise between the fender and the tire now. That's about 3.25" in my fingers. LOL, yup I'm an engineer.
