I think you'll find that the overwhelming consensus is the shift kit... specifically the valve body...
Haven't done it myself but have had many dialogs with Gregg and others and this is the way to go... except for maybe the MONSTER BOX... which at 1,700... it's quite the bargan...

Should be in the beast this week, can't wait! Its the ultimate tranny upgrade, with a PI converter too!
