hope all you have on the way for a 2001 or latter model is the panel filter for the stock box, cause thats all K&n has developed for 2001 and latter L;S so far?:(

That's not what the distributor is telling me ... ???
They say it replaces the whole front end of the S/C
intake. Oh well, we'll see, huh?

A drop in panel with a modded stock airbox is the hot(or cold) setup.....alot cheaper too...

With the bottom whacked out of the stock airbox, plus a drop in panel, I saw 1-1.5 pounds more boost. No other mods, just that $35 panel and 10 minutes with my Roto-zip. Plus it still looks stock under the hood.

you probably purchased one for the 80mm 99/00 model =not good
they are still working on a complete 01/02 system, i just got an email from K&n last week = we are still doing research and development for a 01/02 system = current one is to LOUD ? you better check it out ,i bet your getting one for a 99/00 model, or is this the year L you have =99/00?:confused:

K&N has filters for all of the gen II lightning, i know because i know they make one for the 99,00 and i have had the 01,02 in my truck before i went with JDM's setup
