I keep passing a black one here in town,but we always seem to be going opposite directions. Guy looks to be in his mid 40's and stares me down with that rich boy smirk everytime we pass. I dont think Id be beating on it if it were mine. Thats alot of money!! Didnt look like there was much to the car, little bitty thing. Wow, and to think Im not spending much more than that on the new house we are building!!

Just remember....the same magazine that ran 13.0 with this car, ran a 14.1 w/ a stock Lightning. My point is...don't believe everything you read.

Well i've had the pleasure off seeing about 15 of these cars and for abotu 128K, they are worth it. Then again if i had i would drive the hell out of it and use the technology that wa sput into that car unlike many of the people that drive them right now just for show. Same thing with a ferrari, if you have one DRIVE IT like it was meant to be driven.

Exactly, if I buy a fast car I'm gonna get my $$$ worth from. If I buy a car to show off, thats what I'm gonna do. Fortunately I have one thats both.

 

My point about beating on it was simply most mags that get impressive times by dumping the clutch at very high rpms and MOST owners will not subject their $128K car to this kindof abuse. The rags do not own the car they merely are testing the car, so when it finally gets back to the manufacturer after 5 mag tests, the car has been flogged. I've read articles about a Cobra R, Z06, Shelby, & 360 Spider that ALL had slipping clutches in the past year alone. You think they're all defective from the factory? NO they've been beat on by a bunch of very lucky editors and writers.
Reguardless, with your mods you'll take him in the 1/4. He'll be coming like a freight train on the big end though.
