old plugs look....ehhh
well I started to change plugs yesterday.....yes started, passenger side done ,front 2 on driver side done, then comes pain in a-- 1 and pain in a-- 2!I tried universals and everything else but I cant get around that "thing a ma jig" above the coil pack screw. all plugs so far look pretty good, all threads look heat colored the same amount but #1 on driver side had a white flakey thing growing on the side of the big electrode, it poped right off when i touched it but what condition might cause that?Is it ok to run on 6 new Iridiums and 2 stock plugs till I find out what I need to get those last 2 out?? But I'll tell you this just the 6 plugs in and It fired up without cranking and is it smooth at idle now, no occasional studders. thanks in advance
Look here for pictures of the tool you need for that 3rd 7mm socket on the drivers side

when your doing that 3rd plug on the drivers side, go from the back towards the front to unscrew the coil pack. This is the only coil pack I have to use a swivel on. The plugs on the drivers side are much easier though with them leaning towards the front of the truck.
the 4th plug in the back is easier too, just get a 1/4 inch socket and a shorty extension and go right at it from the top. You shouldn't need a swivel for that one, but some use them.
When you get some more experience you'll be able to change the plugs on a stock truck in about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how motivated you are and your good luck that day.
If you really want to make it easier, remove all the emmisions crap anf various hoses that you don't really need and you can get it done in less then 30 minutes if you want.

I had to run 6 densos for a week cause I broke 2 setting gap. Ok so it takes a denso ( me ) to learn this. I even ran the track on 1 stock. P.S. Doug I get that 12 club one day
You get good second time around.
