Spark Plug removal tools

With all the post lately about what you need to change plugs, I decided to take a pic of what I use.

3/8 --- socket wrench, about 5 extentions, one swivel, and 2 spark plug sockets

1/4 --- socket wrench, extention handle, about 4 extentions, one swivel, one 7mm socket with built in swivel, one 7mm socket, and one long 7mm double end wrench(craftsman profecional 44897).

Magnetic pickup tool

when all else fails I find the 44897 will get under the fuel presure regulator to get it started on its way our or to finnish tightening it.

Good info Don. Just remember to have Jim put new plugs in before the motor goes back in.

Hey Don as much as you have helped me in the past I wanted to be sure and let you know that Snap On has a real nice set of extensions called Wobble Tops. The end of the extension is actually angled so the socket can wobble around on it but it doesn't fall off and it takes up far less room than a swivels do. With the combonation of the fine tools you have listed here and the wobble tops I found it much easier to work on many things. Check them out when you can.

Silver-Bolt you don't think my spark plugs with 15,000 miles will work good on my brand new motor, LOL.

USAHooters, thanks for the tip, I just looked at the snapon web page. They look cool, maybee I'll get a 1 1/4 wobble extention for my 3/8 and 1/4 drive.

Will those extensions work with ant socket?

A 5/8 heater hose works great for taking out and putting in the sparkplugs. The hose is the perfect size to fit in the holes and you can get the plug started back in with it with no crossthreading.

Alittle over doing it on the extensions and tools aren't you.
All I need was 3/8 drive w/ 1 medium and 1 short extention, and 1 spark plug wrench.
Also a 1/4 drive 1 long and 1 short extension, 7mm socket and the Craftsman swivel to 7mm socket. And the magnetic helps on the coilpack bolts.
That's it piece of cake.
