What does it take to run in the 11's?

I have a older super chip and a airraid filter so far. Was thinking of ditching it all and going with a jdm setup. What all would it take to get to low 12's or high 11's?

THanks

What year truck do you have?

chip $300
6# lower pulley $300
2# upper pulley $200
shift kit $200
conical air filter and adapter $150
traction bars $200-400
slicks or drag radials something 28" $600+
Long tube headers $1300
electric fan kit $200-400
Disconnect boost bypass solenoid $free
Cool weather
You may need to remove the passenger seat, tailgate, spare tire, and hitch.

Add nitrous and drop some pullies.

You may want to think about a new engine soon.

2000, silver the fastest color =p

Get rid of the ET Streets, and get the 28" tall ET Drags, or the Hoosier 28" tall ones. Put the L on a big diet! Lower pulley, uppper pulley, new chip, shift kit, maybe a little go-go juice, and I say you will hit the 11's!

Is it safe to run a #6 pulley and chip what was the old debate about over spinning our supercharger?

I would like to get it as fast as possible but with the least chances of blowing it up =-)

My 99 ran a 12.06 in the warm weather, I know it would have been 11's in the cool. My mods are in my sig.

Whenever you successfully start a 500+hp engine, and are able to drive it, it's a good day. nothing safe about owning a modded Lightning

Everyone forgot new internals...........if you run that much boost....I'll give your stock motor a dozen passes before KABOOM!!!!!

There are at least a dozen more things you could add to this list......

Like BBQ said.....if you want an 11 sec truck.....it will not be THAT safe.

Call JDM he can reburn you existing super chip with one of his newest programs. Add a 4# lower pulley, a electric fan, line mod, amd 4x4 pan and filter. This will get you mid to low 12's.

Get a set of long tube headers, high flow cats, electric fan, cobra water pump, line mod, 4x4 pan and filter, and you will be in or real close to 11's

On A Stock Motor?

Gonad's, big gonad's. Along with some other misc parts. If you got the money, do it right. Get with your favorite tuner and let them do the rest, after the motor is setup to take the stress. Then you won't need any gonad's at all to run 11's.

Man,

Getting an L to run 11's is a tall order.

If you figure out how. . .be sure to take a picture and post your mod list.

I want to get a good look at it before it goes bye-bye.

I thought it was really tough to get a '91 Mustang GT into the 11's safely, and it weighed 3300 lbs.

Good luck,
