Talking We did it!

As some of you may remember, my wife and I ordered a True Blue L last October, but the deal fell through in December over a change in the trade in amount. The salesman called last week to discuss meeting us in between. Well we went back and forth for a week and were able to get a little more for our trade in and $200 lower than the X-Plan. My payments stayed the same as our trade in (2000 Xterra)!

So we now have our 2002 True Blue Lightning!

And yes I am smiling

The first question I have is that here in Nebraska, its hard to find a 93 or 94 octane gas. Is there anyone from Omaha, NE that knows where to get it or does anyone recommend an octane booster additive?

Thanks!

Congrants! You should be able to run 91 oct. gas with no problems while stock. But when you get a chip, be sure to tell the tuner what octaine gas you use.

Congrats I also traded my 99 for a 01 while keeping the payments 24.00 lower. Just run the highest # gas available in your area. As mention when/if you chip, tell your tuner your octane rating

Thnaks everyone. I used to wonder why everyone was up late at night posting. I thought that was kind of weird until now. I realize that you can't sleep because your thinking about driving your Lightning. We only drove about 15 miles last night and I had a hard time getting to sleep.

Hey Sarge, first off congrats on the new L. I already have an 01 L but the wife will be trading in her 00 XTerra on a new EXP or Nav soon. I was just wondering what they gave you for your Exterra. Hers is the 4 wd SE with about 28k on it. Thanks and enjoy, I know I love my L. I will love it even more when I install the JL #4 pully with my reburned chip

Ripper,

Ours was an XE with 24,000 miles. It was a cusomization job done by the dealer with leather seat, KC lamps, tubular font guard, heated seats and "Xtreme" badging. We had purchased for approx $24000 and were looking to try and get $19,500. When we first went to deal on the Lightning they would give us $17,500, but yesterday agreed to give $18,500.

They had a purchaser for it and in Nebraska we don't have to pay sales tax on the trade in amount, saved me another $900. SO I got about what I wanted instead of selling it out right. It did need a new windshield and a good detailing.
