How is your performance after upgrading to 20s?

L's with 20's. Lincolns with 20's?

well my performance is great.

My only complaint is that I can't find any really good tires for traction on the street in a 20". I just e-mialed Nitto about 5 mintues ago asking about some 20" 555R's!!!!!! That would be so sweet!

Besides that, I love the 20"s. I wouldn't think about going back to the dinky 18":D My performace feels about the same as the F1's and 18's. Maybe a little better handling due to the stifer sidewall 40 series profile tires.

Well here is my info on 20's. I am not running the big 295 tires I am using the 275 like the HD trucks have.

These results were with my old setup... (3lb/Chip/Filter/Ram Air)

F1's 1.85 60 foot 12.63 @ 107
20's 1.91 60 foot 12.89 @ 106
ET's 1.80 60 foot 12.50 @ 109

These were the best times I ran with each. True the days were different but the 3lb setp usually ran pretty consistent! I hav enot even tried the 20's with the 6lb....

i have noticed that my acceleration is better.
i think the stock wheels/tires weighed a lot more as well.

i guess the smaller radius has improved it. not by a lot but it is noticeable.

also i dont have to worry about traction. the AWD keep my from spinning.
it has come in handy against a few idiodts on wet streets that think they can take me.
i still cant figure out why someone would even look over to race an SUV.

if nitto wheel make those tires i would definately buy them.

Guys, i run 275/45?/20 Eagle GTII tires (i think they come on the harley?) and am just wondering just how much traction am i losing with these? Also, is there a better 20in tire out there to get me some traction? I went to the track for the first time saturday and it was really wet out and misting....they tried to dry the track but i guess it didnt work. I had a HORRIBLE run!

Well bfgoodrich offers a 295/40/20 in there G-Force TA KDW's. I had a set of 18's versions but where the KD's, the KDW stands for wet traction and they have more tread, but not allot. Anyway, the G-forces hooked up really well on the street, but I was also only running 2lb of boost to my 6pounds now on the street.

I would just like to get a 555R in the 295/40/20. that would be the CHIT!

I am running 2001 Chrome 20 inch rims and 295-40-20 Goodyear HPZR tires on my 2000 L. I have not noticed any performance. I think my L. came slower at the track because the rims and tires combination is alot heavier and a 1/4 in taller than the stock 18 inch rim and tire combination. The L. just looks more Awesome and fill out the fenders way better no gaps or spaces in the fender welds.

That is the same tire I have. They do decent, you can can alittle better traction with the 295/40 or 45/20. I like the 275's because they are real close to the stock tire size and really cheap of you burn them up!! LOL

Where did you get those rims, and that hood? Those look wicked... any good sites?

Bigger contact patch (295/40ZR20) makes for better grip on a smooth winding road. The stock 18s feel a little balloony by comparison. Stiffer side wall plus Roush suspension makes for a bad combo at the strip.
