Bedrug's durability
 

2 question's: Living in the Florida I'm wondering how well the velcro stays put inside the bed to hold the bedrug down over time will hold up (does the glue come loose). Secondly has anyone experienced problems with their bedrug getting torn when moving furniture or other objects into the bed?

If you could have seen the problem getting the Bedrug out of my 99L when I went to trade it in, you wouldn't have any questions about the durability of the glue or velcro. I had to repurchase the installation kit. The new owner of the 99 must have wondered what all the velcro strips where for:D As for ripping the Bedrug while moving things, I guess a little care must be used. Because if you wanted to rip it, I guess you could. IMHO a very good investment. My 3yr old Bedrug still looks fine;)

I spent hours picking those damn things off when I traded my '00. If you install it by wiping the bed with rubbing alcohol before putting the velcro on, they ain't coming off.

One of the best non-performance mods out there. People can't believe you carpeted the bed.

Everytime I see that word "shiznit" I can't help but bust out. lmao. Yeah, people can't believe you put carpet in the bed. They look at you like you're from Mars....or something. lmao

I've had one in mine from almost day one and have had no problems with any of that super-velcro coming loose...it cleans up like new as well.

I've hauled furniture, concrete blocks, manure, and lumber in mine with no damage.

Bedrugs are a must have.If for no other reason,they're just cool.Don't worry about it coming loose.They use some kind of mutant Velcro from Hell.This ain't your ordinary,everyday Velcro.

We don't get the heat here in Maryland like you do in Florida so I can't be certain about the Velcro staying put. However, I can tell you mine has been in for about 1 year now and it looks as good as the day I installed it. I've hauled furniture, plywood, pipes, and a bunch of other stuff. Not on a regular basis though. Before purchasing the Bedrug, you should determine how much hauling you plan to do and what you expect to haul. IMHO, if you find you will be doing little hauling or light hauling on occasion then a Bedrug is probably a good decision. If I were going to be using the truck to haul heavy items or messy item (firewood, gravel, etc.) on a regular basis, I probably would have gone with a plastic bed liner or one of those spray in liners. Just my .02.

The heat won't affect the velcro. It's over 100 here regularly throughout the summer and I had no problems before I got a lid.

They are great. They can even hold up to a bit of bumpin and grinding.

They will also hold up to moving furniture, or moving everything in your entire house....will hold up to the occasional hot tub too.

I got my wheel back there right now (with the spare tire on my drivers side front).

Anyone have a picture of a Bedrug in a L without a bed lid?

I have one small ?dirt? stain from a camping trip, but to be honest I haven't even tried to clean it yet. It was, hands down my favorite mod.

Don't worry about the velco-from-hell and heat. It's not like any velcro you've ever seen. It just laughs at heat. BAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I actually tore the end of my finger pretty bad pulling the damn stuff off to move it over an inch or two.
