Just how quick are F150's?
 

I'm new to this forum; but I've admired these trucks for a while. However, that all changed today. I was going out to lunch when I came upon this Red Ford SVT F-150 Lightning at a stop sign. The driver seemed to be egging me to race. So I obliged him and spanked him quite handily. I was surprised, because I spun all the way through 1st and just a little into 2nd. I did notice that he banged of the rev limiter pretty hard. To bad a stick is not an option. At the next stop sign down the road, it looked like he wanted more. Even his dad, who was riding shotgun, had a weird look on his face. I smoked him like a pack of Kools! Anyway, he humbly stayed behind me after that. I'll admit, he was able to keep up with me pretty well; but he was just no match for the stoplight king. Oh well, I guess I just expected more from a truck that cost way more than my 330.

Lightning's are quick enough to smoke you 330. You got very lucky that you either raced someone who didn't know how to race, wasen't racing or had 2 cyl's out. If you seriously beat him as bad as you say with a stock 330, he seriously could not drive. :rolleyes:

I think you ran a 4.6 Lightning Lookalike. Maybe even a V6, LOL. There are plenty of people with L's down in TX, go ahead and line up with a few off here!!!
