Just a reminder about 1/4 mile racin' at the Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Ga. on the 26th--a week from this Sat. Track opens at 12pm--first pass at 1pm, and run 'til 5pm.

Everybody is welcome to race or just chat about our favorite truck(and the competition). There are supposed to be some Corvettes there too.

I'm gonna try to be there Dan. Hopefully the Lightnings will make a good showing. I bet they get a nice turnout since its their first weekend back. Hopefully it will be cold for the forced induction guys! It would be cool if someone could get a dyno lined up for that day

Hey Lightninrod, I would like to try and be there, do you have any idea how long it takes to get there from Mobile, AL. I'll try to bring a few other L buddy's from AL.

how far from hilton head island?
my buddy and i have lightnings and the only track we can go to is in savanah and it is only a 1/8 mile track

I might be up for this...Ivan it will take us about 3 - 4 hours depending on how fast we are going :)

The track is about 30-35 miles due west of I-75 on H'wy 96. No doubt, it would be a tough trip but you would have all of Sat. morning to get here. Rusty travels here from Vidalia and CornerCarver(job permitting), DL, and robby are coming from Augusta. Maybe one of them will be able to offer some help/info on how much time it would take....

usa: How long would it take for you to get to Columbus, Ga.? The track should be about 1-1.5 hours from there. RPM289(one of the nloc guys) is coming from Phenix City.

Take H'wy 80 east out of Columbus until you get to Geneva. Take H'wy 96 east out of Geneva to Butler. The track is just 15 or 20 minutes east of Butler--you will get to the track before you get to Reynolds.

hey svtmagnus, it takes me 2 hours from vidalia and it takes me 2 hours to get to hilton head depending on how fast u drive the trip should not be more than 4 hours. if u wanted to i could meet you in dublin or metter that morning and we could try to convoy up there together there may be 3 lightnings counting me going with me. i cant wait its gonna be awesom those vettes better have some mods done to em :D

It's on! According to our local weather, Sat. will be partly cloudy(no rain--at this time )--lows of 38-40F and highs of 60-65F. We've had rain thru early morning but it is clearing and is supposed to be out of here today.

Come on down although the long-awaited duel between me and CornerCarver will not happen:( . It seems he can't get permission from either his mommy or his girlfriend to make that lon, long drive to Reynolds;) .

BTW, I spoke to the Pres. of the local Corvette club and they sadly will not be able to make it to the track Saturday bacause they have an event in Florida.

LOL! Dan, I agreed NOT to come on YOUR BEFHALF! Guys listen up. He kept calling me at work crying about how it's not right to beat the host at his own party. This has gone on for a couple of months now. He got lucky since the run schedule at one of our plants changed this week and I have to oversee some substation work we needed to perform. Man, talk about flippin' the coin! Sheesh... ;):D

I was planning on showing up, but I have been off work at home all week trying to pass a kidney stone, feels like someone sticking a knife in your back 24/7.

I was hoping I would already passed the stone so I could make it this weekend, but I haven't.

Maybe we can plan another get together before the NMRA event at Silver Dollar.

Sorry I have to miss out, Sounds like there's going to be a good showing of L's and other cars there.
