Nooo this can't be happening to me!!
 

Today I was washing my truck and as I was drying my truck I felt something that felt like dirt I missed. I was like, How did i miss any dirt? Well, anyways, it was on my roof so I grabbed my step stool (I'm tall, just not that tall) and had a look. (Some might know what I'm about to say) On the roof in the little water channels the paint is peeling!!! There are three spots all on the passenger sides. They are smaller than an eraser on a pencil. Ghaa Guess wax can't protect you from everything.

Ppl that have had this happen, What did Ford do for you? Free repaint?

What year truck & how many miles are on it?

It's a 2000 and it's got 21500 on it.

Just got mine back today , painted the whole top of it , the paint was dead but had to paint it to fix cracks, they did a fine job with it, under warranty , and got the IC fixed also ....it had caracks with about 3000 miles on it , I just waited to get it all done at once. don't worry find a good dealer with a fine body shop it will be ok .

How do I know how good the body shop is?

Do I have to go to the Ford dealership? or will they pay for me to have it done at another body shop?

Well first of all talk to the guys there . Most of the time Ford will pay the dealers body shop only, Ask in the forum for any good Dealer Body shops in your area. Look at there work sitting there and there equipment. But either way under warranty they can do it till its right.

My 01 w/ only 800 miles has the same problem. Paint is cracking in the corners of the water channels in the roof. The paint actually has a small pin hole in one spot.
