My brother just bought a Steeda Ranger with the Vortech S/C. I'd say it has some serious potential. The package doesn't include any mods to the pcm and it already runs pretty good. With a chip he should have a nice set-up.

That one is almost up there with the turbo diesel Ranger out here.:eek: I'm still laughing at that kid to this day. I just don't get it. I swear I'm slapping a rice ticket on his truck the next time I see it.:p

I've seen that a while back! Pretty dumb kid, on eBay there is another one newer model though, kid calls it "my SVT Ranger" Ha ha LMAO!

As a former owner of a V8 ranger I will say don't knock the Rangers.
My ranger would walk away from my Lightning, I really enjoyed that truck only I liked AC and power steering, and most of all Overdrive.
I have seen a few nice Ranger conversions that could possibly be referred to as a SVT contender, but that photo illustrated in the first post was not one of them...lol
I know before the 2nd Gens came out in 99 , SVT actually had a Red Ranger with Cobra motor and Cobr R rims running around and there was rumors that SVT was going to produce it, but they wanted to draw a different crowd and chose the F150 platform.

I respect the Rangers. I remember this one time, I pulled up next to a Ranger in my Accord, and thought to myself, "Ha, easy kill." NOT!!!

The fuc_ker had a 302 stuffed in there, with no exhaust note to give it away.............needless to say, you know the results!!!!

Other than a 2 or 3" drop, rims, black stripes, and colored tints, it was a SLEEPER!!! All show, but with some serious GO too!

I really think Ford should do something with the Ranger and SVT. Something with maybe 225hp or something, don't know............I mean something that might look as good as the S10 Extreme Series, but actually pack some punch also.........and no, the SPLASH series does not count (:rolleyes: )

i have ah 94 Ranger splah white with a 4.0 v6 with a vortech kit,superchip,borla, jba headers,all stuff from steeda but i didnt buy it as a steeda Ranger and i have ran 13.7.. best time ever,and it's fun not haveing to run to the gas station to fill up ever 2 hours.Id post pix if i new how to do it !!!:confused:
