Installed Metco's valve cover breather

Put it on Thursday and so far no oil in the throttle body. Install is really easy. The kit eliminates the draft tube. I'll keep you guy's and gal's posted.

I installed two tanks on on each valve cover after 1000 miles only the one on the passenger side had about a pint of oil in it. I removed the one on the driver side and left the one on the passenger.

I just 'capped' off the PCV and put a small K&N filter in the cam cover hole.

DL, I had some left-over 'parts' and put them to use. Hope it works out. I want a 'clean' A/F mixture with no added crankcase oil.

Hope to see both of you at SDR:) .

I took a trip to see the 'Pep Boys' and bought me a small, chrome breather for about 10bux. Brought it home, rigged up a short length of vacuum hose to it, and slapped it on. Plugged the port on the underside of the intake tube and I was done. It took about 10 minutes and not only does it work perfect, but it looks decent too! :)

Scottodog--That side is a problem. There is no sheild to stop the oil from filling the breather.Best bet is to put cap back on it.:(

Hey,

I'm kinda lost. I removed the oil filler cap and installed the Ford Racing screw in filter in the oil filler cap stem.

Now I was thinking about putting a filter on the crankcase tube on the drivers side. Ford Racing makes a slip on type filter that I was going to use on the drivers side.

Hey Mondo1, you talking about removing the pipe from the passenger side, why remove that side when you can use the oil filler.

Well If you get the Metco, they have done all the leg work for you. It's your choice, buy a kit or go to the parts store to get your own.

I think CornerCarver posted all the parts you needto get from your local parts store.

Mark@LFP sells one that installs in place of the oil filler cap, also. Billet base and chrome cap. 'Just ordered it today.:D

Anyone have pics of that oil catching sump?

Sounded like it was a couple of 1 gallon milk jugs with straws coming out of the valve covers. I think they were held in place by Duct tape. Hope this helps.
