BABolt's Power Pipe

Does anyone know anything about this? What it will do for performance? When it will be available and a ball park price?

He's putting it on hold at the moment...I heard a whisper, maybe sometime in January. I imagine it will be in the $400+ range. The air meter alone is a good $250-300, so with the additional tubing, polishing and stuff, it won't be exactly cheap. :) Then again, its a BABolt unit, they're all top notch.

He's working on other projects at the moment (4V head I believe?), so he hasn't finished testing it yet.

I've been waiting myself. :)

Hey, leave him alone... He's busy...(giggle)

I am curious. Does the airmeter replace the current MAF we have?
WIll this not require a chip re-burn?
Any word on performance increase usuing his power tube, meter and filter?
Let it out... do not hide this information:)

Last I talked to him, it would not require a reburn, because it's still based off of a 80mm ProM type meter.

Just the Facts. I am not looking to create sales but I need to speak to my designs and the engineering behind them. My design is not 80 mm based or even 90mm based. I have been running it on my truck and it works great (92mm) and I do not use a chip. I plan to be a sponsoring vendor after the first of the year. I can answer questions then.

Does this mean that you will have your parts more readily available then? I hope so. I guess the wait is on. Anybody got a countown clock gif they can put it this post or on the main page? "Days left until Babolt becomes vendor...." or something. lol. I'm sure there are a lot of people looking forward to that day.

BABolt Is Coming To Town

I would have to say this is the best news anyone that owns a Lightning has ever heard on these boards. He has the ability the manufacture some very trick pieces, and also to turn you on to guys who do the same. Anyone remember his 18x10's? There is a big difference between sitting around reprogramming chips on a laptop and the design and manufacture of one of a kind pieces. I think we are in for a real treat. Good luck Bolt, wishing you much success.

I would be willing to put money on the reason why some of BABolts parts aren't already available is because he has learned his lesson with his TB and now is applying for patents for his products! Can't say I wouldn't do the same if I had all the R&D time invested in a product as he does! Thanks for the excellent work BABolt! :)
