you can't buy a domain 1 day after it expires anyway... they must be the original owners and just never renewed it... i think there is like a XXday waiting period after it expires before someone else can buy it...

I have no idea what may be going on with that site, but just to clear up a couple of things:
1) From what I recall, the site's "ownership" has always been what is noted above. 2) It takes far more than a few days after a domain name expires before it's active status is pulled. (it's usually more than 90 days after expiration Steve |
I spoke with a couple of the guys that are familiar with the svtperformance site and 1) the domain name owner has been that way since it started and 2) I was told the reason it was down was because the domain name expired and it was taken out of the dns server. It expired on the 9th and stopped working sometime on Sunday.
Other than that your guess as to what is going on is as good as any. |
