My friend has a 2001 5.3L chevy Silverado with exhaust, programmer, and airkit, we went to the 1/8th mile track expecting to see some high 9's and ill be damned if he didnt run a 9.4x at 75+ MPH. I congratulated him and we were both suprised. Hell my truck ran 8.9 stock, hes not that far away from a lightning with little mods. I was suprised..... We also met a guy at the track with a truck like his but it was a 99, this guy's truck was loaded with mods(including nitrous) and he could only muster a 8.9x, I guess my friend got a well built truck or we better watch out for these silverados hehe.

 

My 02 Silverado has only 1200 miles, is bone stock, and runs 9.6 in the 1/8th The whipple charger and a few other goodies are 'posed to be here in a few days so I'm thinking 8.6 next time out. Beware-I know the L beats a lot of vehicles at the stoplight drags but the ole Chebby has electronic traction control which seems to work really well.
