Smile 170 Thermostat!!

I went to the dyno today and before i made my runs with my chips i decided to do a pull with no chip and the stock 180 thermostat then install 170 thermostat and compare and i was pleased at what we saw.My truck made 3HP and 5pounds more torque with the 170 thermostat and get this it dropped my air-fuel from 11.9 to 11.6 also!Just thought i would share this with everyone!

High Roller- I thought that I read somewhere that the factory thermostat was 190 degrees? Also what brand thermostat did you use and do you have the part# by chance?

My numbers for my 01 were:

Horsepower 395.2 at 5000 rpms

Torque 473.3 at 3600 rpms

Air-Fuel 12.6 at 4000 rpms
12.5 at 4500 rpms
12.4 at 5000 rpms

I believe my straight pipes caused my air-fuel to go up about .5
